A Poem on Pent Up Hate

I hate you,

Your rage, your demeanour, everything.

You stopped me from being happy.

I’m a girl and all I wanted to do and be was to be happy,

To enjoy life and you stopped me.

When I wanted to play with my friends, you stopped me.

When I wanted to dress the way I wanted to, you forced me to wear what you wanted.

When I wanted to get married, you didn’t let me.

I hate you for getting in the way of everything I wanted.

I be a good, obedient child,

And this is the punishment I receive,

I don’t have the right to choose my own spouse,

Or else you’ll turn insane.

I hate you, you mean old woman.

But I still have to live with you,

Pretend to respect you, trust you, present a composed and honourable exterior.

Be that good, gifted child.

You made my life miserable

And I hate you for it.

I loathe you.

So leave me alone!

Piss off you crazy bitch!
